About the team
KWM Community Impact represents our entire pro bono & wider community offering in Australia & Singapore.
Our program is built on three pillars: Knowledge, Services & Partnerships. Through these pillars we will gain, gather and transfer knowledge, provide valuable assistance to others and work collaboratively with our community partners and commercial clients. The singular objective of our program is to reduce inequality & poverty, particularly amongst children. Our entire program pivots towards this objective for maximum impact. Our services are: Pro Bono Legal services, Specialist & Community Services; and Philanthropy.
Our Reconciliation & Empowerment Project (which includes KWM’s Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan) is woven through all service streams and embedded in every aspect of the firm’s broader business.
About the role
In this role you will assist with the management and coordination of King & Wood Mallesons’ national pro bono legal services practice via the KWM Community Impact program. Reporting to the Head of Pro Bono & Community Impact and working closely with the National Pro Bono Manager, this role focuses on developing, managing, continually improving and expanding the firm’s pro bono practice, with a specific focus on all pro bono clinics operated by KWM across our five Australian centres and a further focus on national pro bono intake.

What experience are we looking for?
- Legally qualified with at least 3 years of legal experience
- Experience in social impact project design, delivery and evaluation, including strong project management experience
- Strong passion and/or experience in access to justice/advocacy/community outreach
- Strong passion and/or experience in Indigenous advocacy and engagement
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, plus strong interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
