About the role
You will assist the Company Secretarial Manager with the annual compliance requirements for registered companies, registration and deregistration of companies and business names, preparation of corporate documents and general administrative tasks.
The company secretarial team supports the firm in providing company secretarial services to various clients of the firm. In this role, you will report to the Company Secretarial Service Manager, and work closely with Partners, Solicitors and staff across the firm.
File Management and Billing
Diary management in relation to client financial reporting requirements
Assisting with the registration and renewal of business names
Assist with processing company statements
Manage Debtors, ASIC agent account and KWM business names
Maintaining client Masterlist
Client invoicing, opening files and preparation of general correspondence.
Assist with preparing board packs for firm company board meetings
Provide support with company incorporations
Assist with the deregistration of Australian companies and foreign companies
Assist with preparing template documents (e.g. board and shareholder changes)
Maintain company secretarial precedent documents
Assist with general queries received from clients and practice teams across the firm
This role requires:
Sound technical knowledge of Corporations Act 2001, Business Names Act 2011 and ASIC regulations
Strong organisational, coordination and administration skills
Ability to work proactively and use initiative
Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities effectively
Excellent accuracy and attention to detail and organisational skills
Superior PC skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
Exceptional communication skills and an ability to communicate at various levels within the firm, with clients and external bodies.
