Our practice spans high profile transactions for blue chip Australian and international clients in both traditional real estate and in the major projects/infrastructure, energy and resources space more broadly. Our clients include government entities, ASX listed companies and Australia’s leading property development companies. Our recent matters include market leading deals in retail and industrial sectors as well as cutting edge deals in health, agriculture and infrastructure. You will be responsible for varied, challenging, complex legal work which often sets the pace in the market.
About the team The real estate group is a busy and growing team with a focus on high-end technical work. In addition to Queensland real estate work, we also work on a range of interstate real estate transactions across Australia. Team members have the opportunity to be involved in a range of different types of matters.
You will have
first rate experience of drafting documents - including contracts, deeds, agreements and advices
excellent analytical and research skills – to apply changes in law or first principles of real estate/contract transactions to new investments and locations
excellent communication skills – to contribute to the delivery of prompt and commercially focussed advice
strong commitment to client service and well-developed relationship management ability - you will play a role in supporting and actively developing our relationships with clients
team focus - to facilitate effective teamwork by developing strong internal relationships
enthusiasm to be involved in business development activities - participating in industry related programs and developing strategic relationships and networks
Ideally you would have experience in some of the following areas:
development and sale of major real estate assets
development and sale of major infrastructure or resources assets
joint ventures and joint venture structuring (for real estate and other sectors)
acquisition of major real estate, infrastructure or resources assets (including involvement in due diligence and in transaction documentation)
complex leasing and development arrangements
