Under the direction of the ALT Director, this position is responsible for the provision and promotion of the effective use of the various technology services delivered by the group to the firm’s lawyers and their clients to assist in the management of document intensive and complex matters.
Your role will include, but is not limited to the following:
Advise legal teams and clients on the effective and efficient use of technology-based information management services in litigation and corporate matters;
Where required undertake project coordination;
Successfully manage deliverables and deadlines both independently and within a team environment;
Share learning and knowledge gained through experience and attending external conferences;
Provide advice and educate the legal teams and other colleagues in relation to best practice and most suitable technology solutions;
Manage and exceed the expectations of clients and colleagues;
Attend and contribute to ALT team meetings, practice group meetings and educational sessions;
Create and maintain all necessary project documentation such as file notes, registers and logs, and reports;
Manage the insourcing and outsourcing of tasks relating to projects;
Where required develop and maintain relationships with 3rd parties, clients and colleagues;
Participate in practice group initiatives;
Assist with the training and development of team members;
Record and submit timesheets and achieve budgeted financial revenue.
a minimum of 3 years’ experience with dispute resolution technology within a professional services or similar environment;
experience implementing and supporting legal technology solutions and a strong desire to work with new technologies;
experience managing and supporting projects from inception to closure;
working as part of a high performing team that delivers high quality services to legal teams;
knowledge and enthusiasm for legal technology;
providing dispute resolution and/or corporate support;
familiarity with Ringtail Legal or Relativity;
familiarity with electronic discovery processing;
high level of knowledge and understanding of dispute resolution practices and procedures;
experience training small numbers of people in the use of software;
ability to take responsibility for and consistently deliver high quality project and database management services within strict deadlines;
ability to work with the manager to resource projects amongst the ALT group nationally;
excellent project solving ability;
high level verbal and written communications, along with attention to detail;
proficiency in MS Office applications;
ability to work alone and as a member of a team, with a flexible approach and willingness to work extended hours where necessary;
a degree in law, legal studies, computer science, information systems, or similar or equivalent work experience.
Desirable previous experience includes those that have:
worked with and administered Ringtail databases;
worked with and administered eDiscovery software such as Nuix or iPro;
worked with MS Access to query data held in Ringtail Legal SQL tables and utilised data to provide legal teams and clients with information in a reportable format.
