About the role
We currently have an opportunity for a casual Kitchen Hand to assist our Chef and Boardroom Waiters to meet the catering requirements for staff and client meetings, as well as on-site functions. Our office operates from 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday with this casual position working rostered shifts of approx. 15 - 20 hours.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
cleaning and polishing of dishes, cutlery crockery, and kitchen utensils;
basic food preparation;
regular cleaning of all kitchen areas;
assisting with boardroom set up;
any other ad hoc duties as required.
To be successful in this role you will have:
passion for food and a desire to learn more;
good knife skills;
barista skills desired but not essential;
ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment;
previous experience in a similar kitchen role or environment;
the ability to work autonomously as well as form part of a team.
