About the role

Due to the continued growth in demand for specialised document review within KWM, we have created a new role for a Review Manager to help establish and manage the document review team. The role and responsibilities will allow you to apply your legal, people and project management skills in often complex and high-profile matters. You will ensure that projects are delivered within deadlines and within budget. The role will be responsible for managing document review projects for discovery, regulatory requests, and corporate due diligence.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the ALT Director, this specialized position is responsible for managing projects and the provision and promotion of the effective use of the various technology services delivered by the group.

  • Allocating review team resources to matters – you will be the first point of contact for any team across the firm who needs review team resources for a matter. You will understand the needs of the matters and how to appropriately resource the matters to meet the needs;
  • Managing the review team pool – including staff development, workflow and performance;
  • Managing the document review process – including managing any issues that arise, monitoring progress, providing regular status updates to the matter team, ensuring the document review process is completed on time and within the agreed budget, and escalating queries and implementing solutions where appropriate;
  • Introducing a consistent Quality Assurance process across all matters – to ensure quality of review work on each matter is at the standard required through QA and other standard processes developed in the role; and
  • Work collaboratively with ALT – agree how the review will be run, including whether or not technology assisted review will be used, and what level of ALT support will be required.

What experience are we looking for?

  • Proven leadership experience within a Dispute Resolution (Litigation) team.
  • Project managing and supporting disputes from inception to closure.
  • Working as part of a high performing team that delivers high quality services to legal teams.
  • Technical leadership including the ability to take responsibility for and consistently deliver high quality results within strict deadlines.
  • Ability to supervise and manage the team, and to ensure projects are resourced.
  • High level verbal and written communications, along with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
