About the role
Our Specialists provide technology and information management consulting services to the firm’s lawyers and their clients so that the firm uses best practices and leading edge technology to assist in the management of matters.
This role requires an in depth knowledge of the legal technology industry to allow you to draw on your expertise in managing projects and offering solutions and advice to our lawyers and clients. Our Specialists collaborate with the Manager and/or Director on resourcing including supervising and instructing team members, sharing knowledge and technical expertise for the growth and development of the team. This role will require you to be multiskilled across a range of disciplines encompassing leadership and people management, coaching and mentoring, project management, collaborating with peers and teams nationally across multiple projects and a demonstrated high level of technical expertise applying legal technology solutions across dispute and regulatory matters.
Under the direction of the Manager and/or Director, this specialised position is responsible for managing projects and the provision and promotion of the effective use of the various technology services delivered by the group.
Advise legal teams and clients on the effective and efficient use of technology-based information management services in dispute and regulatory matters.
Prepare strategies, project plans and budgets to manage eDiscovery and eTrial aspects of matters.
Project manage workflows and providing best practice legal technology services ensuring that work is completed efficiently, accurately and within required timeframes.
Successfully manage key milestones and project deadlines both independently and collaboratively within the national team.
Share learning and knowledge gained through experience across projects and where applicable attend key industry events.
Manage and exceed the expectations of clients and colleagues.
Attend and contribute to team meetings, practice group meetings and educational sessions.
What experience are we looking for?
Proven experience with dispute resolution technology within a law firm environment or in legal practice, offering high end legal technology skills including:
project managing and supporting disputes from inception to closure
working as part of a high performing team that delivers high quality services to legal teams
providing dispute resolution and regulatory support
familiarity with Nuix Discover or Relativity
Experience training people in the use of software.
Technical leadership including the ability to take responsibility for and consistently deliver high quality project and database management services within strict deadlines.
Ability to collaborate with the Manager and/or Director through supervision and management of the team, and to ensure projects are resourced.
A high level of verbal and written communication, along with attention to detail.
Ability to work alone and collaboratively as a team, with a flexible approach and willingness to go above and beyond for a project and your team.
Degree in law, legal studies, computer science, information technology, or similar or equivalent work experience.
