We are looking for a Senior Solicitor/Senior Associate with a background in mergers and acquisition or corporate insurance and in particular experience or interest in warranties and indemnities insurance to join our leading Mergers and Acquisitions team. You will be responsible for varied challenging complex legal work which often sets the pace in the market. 

About the team

This role will see you working with Mandy Tsang, a Special Counsel in our team who specialises in insurance law and has acted for a number of domestic and international clients on contentious and non-contentious insurance matters.  Mandy is a frontend insurance lawyer with over 10 years’ experience in the insurance industry. Mandy works with multinational corporations where her work includes advising on proposed insurance programmes and insurance issues for large corporate mergers and acquisitions and privatisations. She is a market leader in advising on and negotiating W&I insurance policies for numerous transactions, many of which are headline deals.

Mandy is sought after by boards and ASX listed companies for her experience in reviewing and advising on insurance and indemnity arrangements, as well as government bodies and multi-national corporations in the insurance aspects of high-profile public private partnerships. Mandy’s experience also includes high-profile and complex insurance and regulatory matters.

You will have

  • excellent analytical, communication and research skills and attention to detail - to contribute to the delivery of prompt and commercially astute advice
  • strong commitment to client service and well-developed relationship management ability - you will play a role in supporting and actively developing our relationships with clients
  • team focus - to facilitate effective teamwork by developing strong internal relationships
  • enthusiasm to be involved in business development activities - participating in industry related programs and developing strategic relationships and networks
  • first rate experience in statutory interpretation and drafting advices.

You will have recognised experience gained in a similar environment and enjoy working as part of a committed team.
