About the role

We are looking for a Practice Assistant to join our Real Estate team. The role is part time, working Wednesday – Friday (0.6FTE) each week and will report into a Partner as well as supporting assigned authors. 

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, proactive and a team player who can help manage and support the team. You will also have the skills of someone who is responsive, energetic, with a can-do attitude and who has a good understanding of the variety of secretarial tasks that will need to be provided.

Your day will involve 

  • pro-active management of emails and diaries including scheduling appointments and dealing with competing priorities
  • organise internal and external meetings and coordinating catering, room bookings or video conferences
  • manage travel arrangements
  • frequent client phone dealings requiring excellent phone manner
  • managing and maintaining files (electronic and paper)
  • monthly client invoicing
  • tracking daily paperwork and documentation
  • general typing including copy typing, drafting correspondence and document amendments
  • other miscellaneous administrative tasks including processing of monthly AMEX

What experience are we looking for?

  • recognised legal secretarial or administrative experience in a similar environment, ideally law firm or professional services
  • minimum typing speed of 60 words per minute
  • advanced technical skills in Microsoft Office programs
  • the ability to work well under pressure
  • the flexibility to adapt and respond to various urgent demands
  • excellent attention to detail and prioritising skills, taking personal responsibility for the quality of the work completed
