About the role
We are looking for a Practice Assistant to join our Real Estate team. The role is part time, working Wednesday – Friday (0.6FTE) each week and will report into a Partner as well as supporting assigned authors.
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, proactive and a team player who can help manage and support the team. You will also have the skills of someone who is responsive, energetic, with a can-do attitude and who has a good understanding of the variety of secretarial tasks that will need to be provided.
Your day will involve
pro-active management of emails and diaries including scheduling appointments and dealing with competing priorities
organise internal and external meetings and coordinating catering, room bookings or video conferences
manage travel arrangements
frequent client phone dealings requiring excellent phone manner
managing and maintaining files (electronic and paper)
monthly client invoicing
tracking daily paperwork and documentation
general typing including copy typing, drafting correspondence and document amendments
other miscellaneous administrative tasks including processing of monthly AMEX
What experience are we looking for?
recognised legal secretarial or administrative experience in a similar environment, ideally law firm or professional services
minimum typing speed of 60 words per minute
advanced technical skills in Microsoft Office programs
the ability to work well under pressure
the flexibility to adapt and respond to various urgent demands
excellent attention to detail and prioritising skills, taking personal responsibility for the quality of the work completed
