About the role

The Company Secretariat team delivers secretariat services to over 600 clients and practice teams across the firm with a wide range of corporate secretarial services including but not limited to: company incorporations and deregistrations, business name registrations, company compliance requirements and ASIC related lodgements.

This role will provide administrative support to the Company Secretariat Manager and Company Secretary and would be well suited to a junior administrative professional who’s seeking a long-term career in legal administrative support with a premier law firm. 

Our firm will provide training in a variety legal software and office systems, with support and coaching available to help you grow your career. 


Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of documents including formatting correspondence and documents, photocopying and printing documentation
  • Attending to ingoing and outgoing mail
  • Maintaining an efficient and effective electronic and paper filing system
  • Scheduling appointments and diary management
  • Providing exceptional client service to both external and internal clients, in person and by phone
  • File management
  • Monthly billing
  • General administrative tasks such as booking conference rooms and functions, organising travel arrangements, AMEX reconciliation/expense management


What experience are we looking for?

  • At least 12 months’ experience in an office or administrative role
  • Typing speed of 70+ wpm highly regarded
  • Advanced knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to analyse, problem solve and apply appropriate use of judgment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, choosing an appropriate style for their audience
  • Previous experience using Elite or similar system an advantage
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Confidence and ability to use initiative appropriately
  • Effective planning and organisational skills
  • Business or Secretarial Course highly regarded
